Book Review…

David Baldacci…Need I say more?  His latest, The Last Mile, features Amos Decker, an ex pro ball player that got knocked down and experienced a very bad concussion which left him anti-social, but with a perfect memory. The Amos Decker series is great. You don’t have to start with the first, but it’s always a good idea to, although you can read it by itself and get the gist of what Amos is all about. He is a crime fighting, over weight,  depressed guy recruited by the FBI…no one messes with Decker and if you try, he wouldn’t know it anyway because of his brain injury. He is terrific! Can’t wait for the next one because in The Last Mile, Decker starts to lose weight, and realize that life must go on….He is making progress!

David Balducci resides in Virginia , and has set up a great charity, a portion from his book sales goes to it…for children.

Other great reads by David Balducci:

Amos Decker:  Memory Man, The Last Mile

Will Robie Series:  The Innocent, The Hit, The Target,The Guilty (love Robie, he’s a hottie)

John Puller Series: Zero day, The Forgotten, The Escape (love Puller, he’s a hottie too)

The Camel Club Series: The Camel Club, The Collectors, Stone Cold, Divine Justice, Hell’s Corner

The Shaw Series: The Whole Truth, Deliver us From Evil

Stand Alone Books:   Absolute Power, Total Control, The Winner, The Simple Truth, Saving Faith, Wish You Well, Last Man Standing, The Christmas Train, True Blue, One Summer

Short Stories: Waiting for Santa, No Time Left, Bullseye

Yes I have read just about every one of the above list. He is awesome. The only series I am not crazy about that he has written is Kane and Maxwell Series….predictable, guy and girl detectives…the usual. Otherwise, the other books I usually devour in one night if I am left to my own devices!!
